Common questions

Does this replace the official Wise WooCommerce integration?

Yes. This is a standalone, self-contained payment gateway plugin. No other Wise plugin is needed.

Does it work with the WooCommerce Block checkout?

Yes. Full WooCommerce Blocks integration is included so the gateway works with both classic and block-based checkouts.

What does "polling fallback" mean?

Webhooks can occasionally be missed (server downtime, misconfiguration). The polling fallback runs a WP-Cron job every 15–60 minutes to fetch the Wise balance statement and reconcile any payments that weren't caught by a webhook.

How do Wise-powered refunds work?

When you issue a refund from the WooCommerce order screen, the plugin creates a Wise SEPA transfer to the customer's IBAN. In manual_fund mode (recommended for most EU merchants due to Wise PSD2 requirements), you fund the transfer on wise.com and the plugin automatically marks it complete via the transfers#state-change webhook.

What currencies are supported?

Any currency supported by your Wise account. You map each WooCommerce currency to a Wise account (IBAN/SEPA, US routing/account, etc.) in the admin settings.

Is the license per site?

Yes. Each license covers one WordPress installation. You can deactivate and move the license to a different site at any time from your dashboard.
